Details
In 1914, John Hacker founded the Hacker Boat Company in Detroit, MI. His reputation grew quickly with his success in powerboat racing, which attracted some famous owners from the automotive world such as J.W. Packard and Edsel Ford. With his innovative and timeless designs, Hacker Crafts are considered boating masterpieces. This custom built, one-of-a-kind Hacker was commissioned on October 9, 2001 and recreates the famed early 1930s Hacker Craft Commuter design. It was built by Bill Morgan of the Hacker Boat Company in Silver Bay, NY. The mahogany hull is in impeccable condition and was built in a traditional style with a blend of modern technology. Powered by a Crusader 8.1 Liter multi-port injection marine engine with inverter system, it boasts 385hp and bow thrusters. It is fully equipped with depth finder, shore power outlet, air conditioning, heat and Buell horns making it a thoroughly modern cruiser with classic good looks. These Hacker Craft examples are faithfully built by hand just as their predecessors were. With less than 200 total hours on this Hacker, it is in as new condition.
