Description
Shelby American documentation shows that this is one of six 1970 Shelby GT500 convertibles built in any shade of yellow and one of one built with yellow color Code S4. This car was ordered in this color by the Shelby Automotive Marketing Department. A special order yellow paint, Code S4-WT6111, Shelby yellow car. 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air, C6 Cruise-O-Matic transmission with 3.50 Traction-Lok rear axle. Extra heavy duty (BOSS) suspension for the new Goodyear Polyglas GT-F-60-15 tires. Power steering, power brakes, tinted glass, deluxe interior, tilt-away steering wheel, visibility group, AM radio, deluxe belts, tachometer and trip odometer. This rust-free original fiberglass Shelby has its original matching numbers drivetrain with all the paperwork. The 1970 has more unique features than any other Shelby Mustang with new aero-dynamic complete fiberglass front end with NACA black striped hood, functional side brake cooling scoops, two spoilers, Euro exhaust and unique front bumper. The yellow Shelbys were the only cars that got black side stripes in 1969 and 1970. Shelbys were the first car to use new safety reflective side stripes. This 1970 Shelby has a fresh, correct color, state of the art, concours restoration by Ed Meyer, the Team Shelby head judge and Shelby American head judge.
