Details
This rare 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 6-Pack, 4-speed Convertible Pilot Car, serial #004, was originally built up as an assembly of the new for '70 Coronet sheet metal and later used in photographs for the assembly manuals and parts catalogs. As a pre-production car it has some 1969 model year interior parts because the changes for the 1970 models were not final yet. The paint code for the car lists EB5 Bright Blue Metallic, but was painted EW1 Alpine White for better contrast when photographed.
After its service inside at Dodge the car was painted Bright Red and placed on a Dodge used car lot in Detroit. It has been red ever since. From the Brett Torino Collection. **SOLD AS A PAIR WITH LOT 5001.1**
