This spectacular 29,500 original mile Corvette jewel is one of the finest examples in existence. No, not claimed to be, but scrutinized and judged at many respectable top NCRS Regional and National levels, taking home the rigorous Performance Verification Award in 1994 and Top Flight honors consistently, Regional Top Flight in 1992, Chapter Top Flight in 1995 and National Top Flight in 1995, and also receiving recognition and inducted into one of the most prestigious levels in the history of the

Corvette restorers world, the Duntov Mark of Excellence Award. Endorsed blessing has been given by both Chevrolet Corvettes long time chief engineer's Mr. David McLennan and Mr. Zora Arkus-Duntov. It has been the recipient of a meticulous concours nut and bolt restoration to achieve these levels and has spent it's recent restored life in a museum and private collection. It has it's original matching numbers motor, transmission and rear differential and is finished in the stunning combination of Rally Red exterior with black interior and white convertible top. It is powered by the most powerful small block power plant available, the optional L-79 327/350hp high performance V8 with an M-20 4-speed transmission and 3.70 posi-traction rear end. Besides the powerful drivetrain option, during the restoration, this convertible was additionally complimented with a side mounted exhaust system and headrests. Impeccable iron clad provenance includes the original Tank Sticker, NCRS judging score sheets and awards, restoration receipts and photo albums including photos with Zora Duntov and a rotisserie pictorial and break down and decoding of the vehicles major components and numbers, production statistics and literature. It was also a featured car in Corvette Enthusiast magazine. Only 885, 1953 thru 1974 corvettes, have successfully achieved the rigorous requirements to claim the Duntov Award of Excellence. With only a couple individuals having the pleasure of owning this vehicle during its life and retaining and preserving it's natural heritage and history, makes owning this particular Corvette one of the top considerations in the collecting industry.
