Details

Titled and up-to-date license in the state of California. The restoration process started in California in 1991 and completed in Texas in 2003. This car was a body-off complete restoration back to factory specifications. All of the chroming was redone by a professional chrome platter, as were the ten 24 karat gold plated trim pieces to factory specifications. The stainless steel trim pieces were all polished. The chassis was completely stripped of all parts and powder coated along with the

majority of the suspension parts. The engine, transmission, brakes, front end suspension, rear end third member were all overhauled and new 8-leaf rear springs installed. The painting and the interior was done by a professional shop. The interior is a factory specification combination of leather and vinyl on the seats and vinyl on the doors and rear side panels. The carpeting is factory cut loop pile with matching color serge bound edges .There is a battery access carpet panel cut out and surged per factory specs. The overall restoration was basically performed by myself with regard to all of the mechanical requirements and the reinstallation of all of the restored items. The top material is a black Hartz cloth canvas. All of the top operating links have been re-chromed and reinstalled to factory specifications. The top motor, cylinders and hoses are new. Optional equipment on this car is an auto lubrication system, factory spot lights and bumper fog aux lights. Everything on this car is operational. The car was first shown at the LCOC North Texas Meet on April 20, 2003, in Salado, Texas and won first place for 1949-1960 Lincolns. Other wins include Best of Show at three events and many first place wins. This car was presented with the Elliston Bell Founders Trophy as the Most Outstanding Senior Lincoln at the 2009 Lincoln Continental Owners Club Mid-Western National meet.
