The Model 165 was offered from Harley Davidson from 1953-1959. From 1955-1959, Harley Davidson offered a lightweight model named after Dean Hummer. He was the highest selling lightweight Harley dealer in the country. The Hummer was offered with 125cc engine that produced 3hp on a completely stripped down lightweight motorcycle. The Model 165 was also offered in 1955 with the 165cc engine that produced 5.5hp on a lightweight motorcycle that has more equipment. The Model 165 is often referred to
as the 'Big Hummer.' The Model 165 was for the lightweight motorcycle rider who wanted all the power and speed the smaller motorcycles did not have. This Model 165 has been fully restored to new condition, finished in Pepper Red paint and a black frame. Options include all aluminum single unit motor and 3-speed transmission, 7' pre-focused headlight, streamlined taillight, disc type horn, telescopic spring forks, large 5' internal expending brakes on each wheel, and an American Style weatherproof leather saddle.
