Details

The body is covered in DuPont Lemon Yellow and has a modern feel with a '95 Chevrolet truck bed in place of the original '53 model. The tailgate was molded shut and custom LED taillights were added for a Street-Rod feel. The original '53 rear fenders were seamlessly molded into the late model Bow Tie box for extra smoothness. The 19' Colorado Custom Slater 5-spoke twisted wheels wrapped in P245/35R19s on the front and P285/30R19 Michelin rubber is on the rear. The custom frame uses 2'x4'

framerails to extend it 6' from stock, fabricated with triangulated 4-link rear suspension and installed a Chubby Chassis Mustang II front IFS kit. The 4-link rear suspension bars and upper wishbone, along with the front upper and lower A-arms are dipped in the chrome tank, contrasting a powder coated purple frame. Art Morrison Ford 9' rear end with 4.11 gears, Pro-Shock components and Firestone airbags fed by two Thompson compressors at each corner give this truck its ability rise to a comfortable ride height. The 383cid small-block Chevy from Beck Racing Engine has 450hp. On the exhaust side, a set of custom ceramic-coated headers were bent and welded by Steve Kent. The headers flow into a pair of Warlock mufflers. A Griffin aluminum radiator, aided by a 16' Spal electric fan keeps everything cool during those hot summer cruises. Polished hoses, a water pump, a power steering pump, March pulleys and brackets enhance the engine compartment. The horsepower is bolted up to a fully detailed TCI 4L80E automatic transmission. Inside, a custom dash is painted in DuPont Lemon Yellow, along with a custom center console accented by a Colorado Custom steering wheel topping a billet steering column. Internal surfaces are covered with Dynomat to deaden any road noise and enhance the audio sound quality. Door panels feature two tones of gray and scalloped headliner features flames all the way down the back section of the cab.
