Details
In 1947, Powel Crosley brought back the pickup truck, based on the sedan body, and installed his then famous CoBra motor (Copper Braised, aka 'The Mighty Tin') which produced a whopping 26hp out of its 44cid. Famous for his radios, refrigerators, and owning the Cincinnati Reds, Powel Crosley set out to make an affordable line of cars and small trucks for people in his own small plant. In 1947, 3,182 of the pickups were produced, selling for $1,007.00. This example recently came out of an estate
in Carson City, NV. Great addition to your collection or museum.
