Details
This car still wears its AACA National First Place badge from 1972. The longer hood was no styling miscue, it was necessary to accommodate the 6 cylinder engine that was released just prior to the end of the model year. Meanwhile, the old reliable 171cid 4 cylinder engine gained higher compression, larger valves, aluminum pistons and a revised carburetor for a final breath of life and a rating of 35hp at 2,200rpm. This old gal has been maintained very well over the years, while it is starting to
show its age and the chrome/nickel plating may be losing some of its luster. This is one fantastic car. Chevrolet produced over 785,000 of these cars, however few remain today in this condition. From the Jimmy Richardson Collection. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
