This PHS documented, 4-owner car conveys a full and rich history. Built in Fremont, CA and purchased new in Van Nuys at Jules Meyers Pontiac, this car has spent its entire life in California and Texas. Originally a '345' code car, it has since been updated to the '348' code with upgraded Ram-Air-III. The car sports #62 date matched J68 D-port heads and other correct casting numbers throughout. The 400cid V8 was rebuilt in October 2008 using modern day technology as well as retaining its GM
authorized service replacement block stamped 'WW'. The engine is mated to a TH400 automatic transmission, which has been completely rebuilt in 2010 and transfers power to the pavement via a Safe-T-Track 3.55 rear axle. Inside, the interior has been upgraded using imported Ferrari leather from Modena, Italy. This highly optioned car also sports hideaway headlights, power windows, bucket seats, tilt steering, power top, console, power disc brakes, factory air conditioning, Rally gauges, lighted hood-tachometer, head rests, chrome exterior trim and Rally II wheels. The radio has been tastefully upgraded for modern sound with a classic look, but the original AM radio also conveys with the car. Brakes and suspension were recently gone through with correct parts throughout rounding out the mechanical restoration. This exquisite example of a '69 GTO comes with an original Owners Manual, convertible top operation guide as well as a convertible top boot.
