1950 MERCURY CUSTOM COUPE

Details

This one-of-a-kind 1950 Mercury custom coupe has been meticulously restored and fully customized inside and out. The car recently underwent a 2-year, frame-off restoration. The top has been chopped 3', the B-pillar has been slanted, and tinted glass used for the windows. All chrome has been removed, the hood corners have been rounded, and the headlights have been frenched in the classic customization look. The grille is from a 1951 DeSoto, and the taillights from a 1959 Cadillac to add a custom

look. The entire front bumper, fenders and hood have been joined, as well as the rear fenders to the body. The extraordinarily well done bodywork is covered in a candy metallic blue with lilac pearl highlights. The smoothed engine bay houses a 400cid Chevy small block with a high lift cam and mated to a Turbo 350 4-speed transmission. A custom exhaust system with chrome side exhaust tips complete the exterior look as well as the sound of the engine. Inside, the original dash has been kept and modernized with digital instrumentation and stereo system. Modern comforts such as power doors and locks and a tilt steering column are offered, and the seats are power seats in the front, and customized, spacious wraparound seats in the rear. The car has been stored and very rarely driven since its restoration and has only a few hundred miles since restoration.
