Details
Multiple award winner in amazing condition with tons invested in its initial build. This stunning, award winning Ford custom convertible was designed by Brockmeyer Design in conjunction with Stuban Concepts. Following its completion, it was featured on the cover of Street Rod Builder August 2005 and was honored with awards at the following events in 2005, Detroit Autorama 2005 Great 8, Boyd Coddington's Pro Pick Indianapolis, Indiana and Columbus, Ohio, NSRA Louisville, Kentucky, Concours
d'Elegance Lexington, Kentucky, Shades of the Past Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Bobby Alloway's Pro Pick. After the initial design work was completed, construction of this custom was carried out by Stuban Concepts and Time Machines Unlimited, an exhaustive process that took 8,500 build hours. The stunning body was built by Minotti and Stuban with one-off panels that include such detail features as a hood with cold air intake to the fuel injection system, a flush concealed convertible top, curved glass, stainless moldings and front and rear defroster. The paint is by DuPont Hot Hues and is offset beautifully with one-off aluminum Body Coddington wheels, shod in BFGoodrich tires, 18' front and 20' rear. The tubular chassis was built by Mike Adams Customs and equipped with a C5 Corvette independent suspension with a 4-point digital Air Ride Technologies system, complete with a remote control. With such modern equipment, the car is equipped with rack and pinion steering as well as Baer power disc brakes. As for the engine, a Kinsler Fuel Injected Ford 4.6L modular dual overhead cam, 32-valve V8 is mated to a C5 Corvette 4L60 automatic overdrive transmission. The engine was built by Shawn Redman Motor Sports and the drivetrain was the work of Stuban Concepts. Other desirable equipment includes a Griffin radiator, custom aluminum 2,700cfm fan, carbon fiber enclosed driveshaft, C5 3.42 limited slip differential and a Jet-Hot custom exhaust. The fuel tank is a stainless steel unit with 18 gallon capacity. The interior and convertible top, both by Time Machines Unlimited, also leave nothing to be desired and are indicative of the same level of workmanship. The Mercedes blue top is complemented by Dove Blue Mercedes leather trim. All chrome components, from the dash to the steering wheel, were CNC machined by Cook Enterprise. In fact, the driver benefits from air conditioning, a heater, a sound system with screen, power windows, 6-way power seats, power doors and truck remote. The car drives and handles great, and runs cool in warm traffic conditions. A multiple award winner with thousands of build hours invested, this is a stunning custom with the finest professional workmanship.
