Description

This '32 has been a combined effort over two owners and 10 years to complete with a build cost just south of $125,000. Impeccable attention to detail is shown throughout this one-off custom. Smooth, clean lines were a priority throughout the build process resulting in a flowing continuity no matter what angle the view. When the custom hardtop is removed there are no visible clues this Vicky is anything but a roadster, no visible bolt holes or mounting plates, no latches or windshield mounts. With the top on, this '32 looks like a chopped coupe. Most everything visible on the undercarriage, suspension and rear end has been plated, chromed or polished lending to a more finished appearance. The purposed built interior continues the elegant simplicity of the exterior, neat and tight are the operative words in here. Controls are kept to a minimum to bring the exterior theme into the interior. The rolled ultrasoft leather seating terrifically complements the exterior silver as does the body color dash and trim. The 502 big block sits ahead the flat firewall painted in the body color. The chrome air filter sits atop an understated, if not muted motor, mostly finished out in polished metal. Subtle hints to the original '32 Hot Rods include finned valve covers and dual chrome dome oil breathers. More modern is the MSD ignition and the massive Griffin 4-core radiator. Some of the car's highlights include the Zipper body, Kugel chassis, custom paint, custom ultra leather interior, Wilwood disc brakes, Foose wheels, Chevrolet 502cid big block, Turbo 400 transmission built by Coan in Indiana, hide-away license plate mechanism. Accolades and awards include Judge's Choice Top Gun award and 992 out of 1,000 at Chevy Vettefest in Chicago and Best in Class at the Dallas Autorama in 2010.
