Buick GSX cars were produced in very limited numbers, 678 to be exact. This is 1 of 280 built with the ultra desirable Stage 1 package with a 360hp and 510ft/lb of torque 455cid engine and automatic transmission. This GSX is accompanied with the original production order body sheet that was found on top of the gas tank. Owned by the original owner until 2008, this GSX accumulated less then only 32,000 original miles. After purchasing this GSX from the original owner, we received from him the

complete numbers matching engine and transmission with air cleaner still on. He removed the engine shortly after he purchased the car new and installed a Stage IV 455, instead of modifying the original drivetrain. During the body-off restoration, it was very evident that the mileage was indeed low due to the abundance of many original suspension and rubber components that were restored and reused in the restoration process. The 100% original floor and trunk pans were stripped of their paint and undercoating and then refinished in the exact sheen of the factory applied black. All of this GSX's body body panels are original and repair free. Careful attention was paid to insure that all of the original bolts, clips, washers, etc, were properly tagged, re-plated and installed exactly as it was originally installed. Buick went all out in 1970 to produce one of the fastest and most refined muscle cars for that era. And the GSX was no disappointment, with the wild black stripes, front and rear spoilers, hood mounted tach and chrome plated 15' wheels wrapped in Goodyear 60 series tires. The Stage 1 Buick turns heads wherever it goes. This unique and rare GSX left the factory with the following equipment of automatic transmission, full gauge package, full length center console, power disc brakes, power steering, Rallye clock with hood tach, Apollo White exterior, posi-traction rear differential, AM radio, GSX only Rallye steering wheel, 60 series Goodyear tires, chrome plated wheels and R-69 Delco battery. This is a documented matching numbers GSX with the matching numbers correct engine, transmission, Stage 1 carburetor, distributor, cylinder heads, camshaft and the original date code correct rear end. Every mechanical component on this GSX has been freshened up resealed, rebuilt and installed to the factory correct standards to ensure the value of this rare Buick would be enhanced. The original title and original production order body sheet is included along with the original owners manual with this outstanding GSX.
