Car drives excellent. You will fall in love with the intricate designs on this car. As you dwell up close on the fine details of this Newport, they will absorb you. Examples include the all metal dashboard which showcases both the speedometer and a set of gauges gracefully wrapped together in a half circle around the steering column. The intricate details of the dash include an extra wide, double tray ashtray. This Newport features a boldly sculpted side panel outlined with stainless steel at

the top beltline, in conjunction with beautiful fender skirts. Elegant turn signal indicators rest atop the front of each top trim line. Both headlamps and tail lights are inset from the outer edges of the fender line. Dual headlamps are nestled within the grille area, which carries the same broad outlined look of the side panels. The 'C' Chrysler grille insert medallion still has its bright red color. This Newport's new exterior paint, combined with the original interior multi-tone turquoise and aqua color schemes, accentuate each other. Original factory air conditioning compressor works well. There is no cracking or discoloration of the door panels at the window lines, dashboard is great, colors are still vivid in centers of steering wheel and the hubcaps and the air conditioning factory decal in the rear window is still intact. The steering wheel is the only part on the entire car with cracking, but it is intact and strong. It is nestled around a beautiful chrome horn ring. The striking color of the steering wheel, with its natural age reflects the beautiful and distinctive patina of this Newport. You can both feel and see this Newport's actual survivor quality with your hands on the steering wheel. An immense pleasure to drive.
