Ordered new by Norton Clapp, President and owner of Weyerhaeuser, for his wife. While registered by Rolls Royce as a delivery date of August 8, 1959, Mr. Clapp insisted it be delivered in the U.S. as a 1960, hence it is titled as a 1960. Mrs. Clapp sold the car in May of 1966 to her close friend, Laura Spencer Harvey. Mrs. Harvey owned the car from 1966 until May of 1997. All receipts under Mrs. Harvey's ownership are with the car. It was serviced by the local Rolls Royce dealer in Seattle and a

companion shop specializing in British automobiles. A third owner, service records included with this owner as well, owned the car briefly then sold it to the Co-chairman of Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Service records under that ownership are also included. As further testament to the incredible service records for this automobile, it drove the 2001 West Coast Bentley Tour from Seattle to Monterey, CA and back without incident. Always kept by wealthy owners, this Bentley has only known the finest care. The coach builder for this Bentley is H.J. Mulliner with 1,183 examples being built. It has a Rolls Royce Bentley V8 with 380cid and very proven GM Hydro-Matic. It retains its original colors as ordered, but with repaint. Custom order features include left-hand drive, speedometer is miles per hour, coat hangers, rear lamps, reverse button on column shift deleted, fog lamps, cold weather shields over door locks, antenna hole in roof to be welded up, radio antenna installed on left front wing, Cadillac electric antenna, 4' extensions on seat rails to allow for a very tall driver, standard forward adjustment and picnic tables. In rear center armrest, a custom built compartment holds a Bentley script notebook, Bentley script cigarette case and Bentley script woman's compact.
