Details

This Ford Country Squire is a spectacular example of a very rare car. The Country Squire made up less than 4% of production for 1951 and with a high rate of attrition, it is highly unlikely you will see another one coming the other way. This car is the recipient of a 3-year frame-off restoration completed in 2000. It is finished to an extremely high standard with the absolute best of materials used throughout. The wood done by Rick Mack at Woodies Enterprises in Tacoma, WA, with 2,635 hours

invested in the birds eye maple and African andiroba mahogany wood panels alone. The interior was professionally refinished in top-grade leather and under the hood, the original 239cid Flathead V8 was rebuilt and sports aluminum Offenhauser heads and Fenton headers. It provides great power and a fantastic soundtrack that can only come from a classic Flathead Ford. Factory options include the passenger side taillight, front a spotlight and the original AM radio has updated internals to play FM stations. In a similar nod to driving enjoyment, the brakes were upgraded with power boosted front discs. Likewise, a 9' rear end improves reliability and offers better gearing. The car is accessorized with a sun visor and a matching maple roof rack that carries an authentic hollow wood Maui surfboard, perfectly finishing the look of this show-stopper. Included with purchase is an extensive file of information and restoration photographs as well as $108,991.89 in receipts. This is a fabulous and rare car that would be a stand-out in any significant collection.
