The Official Pace Car for the 88th Indianapolis 500 on May 30th, 2004. For a record sixth time, Corvette 'Raced the Pack' at the INDY 500 Race. This also marked the third consecutive year and the 15th time overall that a Chevrolet product. This car was driven by Actor Morgan Freeman and features a distinctive 'American' White and Blue two tone paint scheme and specific INDY 500 graphics. Few modifications were made to the Corvette to ready it for Pace Car duties including a heavy-duty
transmission and power steering coolers, lower restriction exhaust system, two-point racing-type safety belts and safety strobe light system. THIS IS A MODIFIED VEHICLE.
