This Camaro has received a professional, ground-up restoration to a very dry, rust-free, original California Black Plate car.

Attention to detail was demanded and evident with this restoration as NOS original parts were used excessively where possible and available. Otherwise, the mostly original equipment was restored when not available and it still has all of its California smog equipment intact. It is powered by a replacement 396/350hp V8 big block engine with a 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. It is optioned with Z27 Super Sport package, N40 power steering, JL2 front disc brakes, J50 power brakes, A01 tinted glass, C08 black vinyl roof, G80 posi-traction, PL5 white letter tires, ZL1 duct hood, U63 AM radio, ZJ7 Rally wheels, bucket seats, console, spoilers, etc. It is finished in show-quality Butternut Yellow with black interior, vinyl roof and black accent stripes. The ownership history is documented back to the 1970's with only two owners during this 30+ year period. Recently, until back in the 1980's, it was in the private collection of Lynn Cormier of Cormier Chevrolet for over 20 years which is in Long Beach, CA, and still in business today. Before that, it was owned by Robert Bond, also of California. It was built in the third week of November and delivered and sold new on December 1, 1968. What a Christmas present that would have been. The VIN number also confirms that this is a very early production car. This is a very sharp and highly detailed Camaro that is a proven multiple award winner that performs as well as it shows.
