Completely face lifted, the 1969 Camaro differed from the 1967-68 in appearance with a whole new redesigned body. 1969 Camaro dealer guides did not list 427 engines, but wanting and demanding more than the 396cid Camaro would give, Chevy agreed to factory build a batch of 1969 Camaros with 427 engines. This was done under the Central Office Production Order System (COPO). How many COPO Camaros were built is unknown. Also, non-factory 427cid engine swaps by dealers and others were very common.

They all had the iron-block and head solid lifter L72 427cid which Chevy pegged at 425hp. These Camaros turned in effortless 13's in the ? mile, but when fitted with headers and slicks, even in street trim, recorded 11 seconds ET's often. This particular Camaro has received a fresh body-off restoration to factory specifications with no expense spared. A correct COPO re-creation in every way including factory inspection marks and labels. Numbers and date codes matching and specified in detail with photos to verify. Options include a period correct dated 8561 COPO 427/425hp V8 engine, Z27 Super Sport package, A01 tinted glass, C08 black vinyl roof, G80 posi-traction, JL2 front disc brakes, J5 power brakes, M22 4-speed close ratio heavy duty Rock Crusher transmission, PL5 white letter tires, ZJ7 Rally wheels and a G80 12-bolt posi-traction 4.10 rear end to make sure you're always in the lead. Also is a radio delete car. It is finished in the very stunning and rarely seen Code '63' Champagne color with black accents and interior. It was built in the 4th week of August 1969. The components are numbered and decoded for verification and documented. This is not only one of the best looking, but also one of the best reproduced Camaros available.
