Details

A complete frame-off rotisserie restoration. This car was built by Jim Ballenger, a true Mopar lover. If you're going to spend the time and money to build a car, do it right. Jim is a mechanic and a retired body man. He was known for having some of the fastest Mopars in town in the late 1960's and worked for Don Grotheer, NHRA winner in 1963. From those memories, this car was built from Jim's extensive knowledge of Mopars. He set out on a journey that would last 18 years. Originally purchased in

1990, it received body work, PPG DP40 epoxy primer and PPG paint in 1995. The car was sold to a friend and then Jim bought the car back in 2005 to finish the restoration starting with stripping the bottom and re-painting the whole car and adding flex to the underside with PPG base coat/clear coat. Glass smooth paint and panels make this car a shiny white diamond. It also has new front end suspension with disc brakes, rotors, spindles, drums, shoes, cylinders, stainless lines and master cylinder. It features a race-built 727 auto with manual reverse valve body and 4800 stall dynamic converter, new rear leafs, 355 limited slip rear, new convertible top, lines and cylinders. Also all of the weather-stripping is new. The front windshield and back window are new. Comes with complete dyno and headflow documentation, receipts of build and a photo album of restoration and specifications of build, engine internals and machining. The engine is a 512cid/656 hp Max Wedge Cross Ram intake with 2,800 CFM Edelbrock carbs, a standard 440 block bored 40 over. 4340 forged crank and H beam rods shot peened and ARP bolts. The heads are Indy EZ 1 aluminum with 75cc chambers. The cam comp is a solid roller 296 intake duration and 303 exhaust at .020 lift and .650 lift at the valve with 1.5 fully rollerized rockers. Has two fuel pumps and 3' exhaust. Hop in, let's go for a ride.
