Details
Modern technology and classic styling highlight this 5-year frame-off rotisserie restoration/customization. The original two tone paint scheme with modern tri-color paints of Inferno Red and White Diamonds, and smoothie bumpers make this all steel body stand out from the rest. The frame was epoxy coated gloss black. Up front McGaughy's dropped spindles, Heidts tubular upper A-arms and lowered coiled springs were used. The rear features an Art Morrison triangulated 4-bar suspension with Aldan
coilovers. Aluminum PRC radiator with Spal fans cool the GMPP 350 Ram Jet engine which supplies the power thru the 4L60 automatic transmission and aluminum drive shaft to the GM 10-bolt 3.42 rear gears. All is riding on 17' Goodyear's mounted on Crager SS wheels. 4-wheel power disc brakes stop this beauty. The firewall was smoothed to keep the engine compartment clean. The underside was painted with Rhino bedliner tinted to match the body. The headlamp switch was relocated next to the wiper switch to keep the dash trim clean. Classic instruments provided the gauges. An original-style 15' steering wheel was used on an IDIDIT tilt column. Tunes are provided by a Pioneer AM/FM system which has MP3 docking and is satellite capable. On the inside, lizard skin was sprayed, and then covered with quite barrier. Next Prodex insulation covered all. The upholstery was done by the award winning Jerry Kensinger of A-1 Auto Upholstery. A Pearl White ultra leather is highlighted with red ultra-suede to showcase the interior, (both man made) along with heated power seats, power windows, door locks, keyless entry and self dimming rear view mirror with compass and temp. Vintage Air provides the climate inside. All of this adds up to one comfortable, quiet, cool ride. Over $100,000 was invested in this project. This car has won every show it has been in, including the Super Chevy Nationals in Joliet, IL 2008. This award along with the winner's jacket goes with the car. Documentation of this build along with a complete photo journal is also included. It has appeared in several ads on the internet. This car is truly one-of-a-kind.
