This is car #219 of 701 built and was sold new in Anaconda, Montana. Owner history including the salesmen man who sold it is available. In November of 2002 the car was loaned to the Walter P Chrysler Museum for the 4 month HEMI Power Exhibit. The exhibit celebrated 50 years of the HEMI and introduced the new generation HEMI. This model introduced in 1953 was Virgil Exner's first production model design. The dealer installed an Offenhauser manifold with 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhausts
raised the 241cid HEMI to 150hp. This was Dodge's first high performance car. The car underwent a complete restoration and was judged a Senior Car by AACA in 1997. This is number 219 of 701 built. There are few cars remaining and this is one of the best.
