A comprehensive rotisserie restoration was performed on this ultra rare 'fuel injected' Bel Air convertible. The Bel Air name was first introduced in 1950 and included new flashy paint schemes along with beautifully tailored interiors. In 1957 the Bel Air underwent a drastic styling change including dramatic tail fins, jet inspired head lamp pods, silver anodized beauty panels and distinctive two-tone interiors. There was a total of 17 engine/transmission combinations offered and the top of the line option was the 'Ramjet' fuel injection V-8 which produced one horsepower per cubic inch. Chevrolet claimed this to be the first American production car to accomplish this. This car features the incredible and infamous 283ci/283hp 'Ramjet' fuel injection V-8 engine with the close ration 3-speed manual transmission. It is beautifully finished in the factory Matador Red paint and fitted with the authentic two-tone silver and red interior. Other features include a black power soft top, chrome sill moldings, door handle shields, clock, heater, push button radio,

rear view mirror, wide whitewall tires, spare tire and tool kit. The chassis is remarkable detailed with the factory inspection dabs, part numbers and the floors are finished as per original with the red oxide primer. Countless hours have been exhausted to ensure that all of the correct components were used in the restoration right down to the original type spring ring hose clamps and tar top battery! One of the best 1957 Bel Air fuel injected convertibles!
