Description

Summary

354cid/355hp Hemi V8 with an automatic transmission. Recent paint and interior on an otherwise original car. First of the letter series Chryslers.

Details

In 1956 Chrysler introduced the 'Letter Car' models. This was the first year of the original muscle car. 1,102 cars were built with 354 cubic inch Hemi engines with 340 horsepower and 2-speed auto or 3-speed manual transmissions. S/N from 3N56 1001 - 3N56 2150 were built. At year's end, 50 cars were built with 10:1 ratio pistons which made 355 horsepower. This was the first car to make more horsepower than cubic inches. They also had Torque Flite transmissions. This is 1 of those 50 cars. It is a truly rare survivor that is all original except for paint. Gary Goers interior and tires.
