Details
In 1936 Chevrolet overtook its competitor Ford in the sales race, selling a then record number of vehicles. In addition, 4-wheel hydraulic brakes became standard for the first time, as well as one engine in both the Standard and Master Deluxe series. The cabriolet reappeared for the model year and it was only available in the Standard series. Just 3,629 Standard Cabriolets were produced for 1936, making it a rare model new and even more so today. At $595 before options, it rode a 109' wheelbase and included a rumble seat as standard equipment. Powered by a 235/74hp 6-cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission, it is nicely equipped with a canvas boot, rear fender skirts and wire wheels with whitewall tires. It is a former Award of Excellence winner from the Veteran Motor Car Club of America. Amazing running and driving car, extremely solid.
