This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is powered by a re-stamped matching-numbers 396/350hp engine backed by an automatic transmission. It underwent a comprehensive rotisserie restoration with new metal throughout, and every part has been refurbished, replated or replaced with the factory-correct GM numbered parts. Every component of this car has been disassembled, refurbished and installed as if it just rolled off the assembly line. The car has the correct Norwood, OH, firewall stamps and the
original Cowl Tag verification of RS/SS Tuxedo Black with a deluxe black interior. It has the correct vacuum headlight system that was only used with 1968 models and even has the Concours Exhaust Package from Gardners. The engine has been completely refreshed, restamped and reassembled by Filmore Machine of Naples, and the original 3-speed automatic transmission was completely refreshed, with the original pan reinstalled. The interior includes an all-new factory-correct wiring harnesses, wiring and a new factory-correct fuse panel. All gauges in the car have been restored with all-new boards, connectors and bulbs, with a working Tic-Toc-Tach. The radio is Bluetooth-equipped along with the original face plate, which is the only non-original factory option on the car. Even the reverse lights have the correct factory wire drill hole locations, which is often missed or done incorrectly. It sits on the correct 14-inch rims. This vehicle comes with the original air cleaner and documentation of its built. It has been driven 23 miles since the project was complete.
