This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS custom convertible was painted in 2012 in its original color of Madeira Maroon. It is powered by a forced-induction Scott Shafiroff 572ci V8 engine producing 1,320hp on 23 pounds of boost, backed by a TREMEC TKX 5-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. The non-original 396ci V8 engine and M21 4-speed transmission were removed in 2012 and the new engine was installed. This new engine features a Gen VI tall deck Bowtie bare block, GM 4340
forged steel crankshaft, 10.5 compression Ross Racing custom pistons, GM forged steel, an H-beam, shot-peened connecting rods, Brodix Big Brodie BB-3 XTRA CNC ported 366 aluminum heads, Manley 2.300-inch and 1.880-inch titanium valves, an ARP head stud kit with parallel ground washers and Cometic Multi-Layer Steel head gaskets. It is also equipped with a Hydraulic roller camshaft, Hippo .904-inch hydraulic roller lifters, a ProCharger F1R supercharger, ProCharger intercooler, dual ProCharger blow-off valves, a 3-inch GripTec 12 rib billet blower pulley, Hogan sheet metal intake, 90mm Accufab throttle body, 96-pound billet body fuel injectors, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor, a DC Power 180-amp billet body alternator, a Meiziere billet mechanical water pump, a Moroso 8-quart oil pan and a billet oil pump. The engine has remote dual oil filters, a custom oil cooler, a custom aluminum water/methanol tank with an AEM pump and new snow controller, dual water/methanol injectors, a Ron Davis custom radiator with dual SPAL fans, a custom multi-source 3-stage PCV system, electric vacuum pump, RPM activated for the PCV, a PSC Motorsports billet power steering reservoir, an MSD 6BT, Accel DFI, a Detroit Speed wiper motor, Lemon 2.25-inch custom headers, custom header skid plates and a 3-inch full exhaust with an X-pipe. This custom Chevelle also has electronic cutouts with a wireless remote controller. The transmission is new as of June 2022 and has been cryogenically treated, and the gears and shafts have been polished. It also has a RAM Pro Street dual disc clutch. The original 12-bolt rear end was rebuilt in June 2022 and now features a new set of hardened 3.73 gears. The chassis has been modified with custom power rack & pinion steering, QA1 adjustable coilover shocks, tubular upper and lower control arms, and Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. Stopping power is handled by Wilwood 6-piston calipers with slotted and drilled rotors in the front and Wilwood 4-piston calipers with slotted and drilled rotors in the rear, along with Hydro-Boost power brakes. This car rides on Forgeline custom SP3P wheels wrapped in Nitto 234/35 19 NT555 tires in the front and Nitto 305/35 20 NT555R tires in the rear. The interior is highlighted by a custom stainless-steel roll cage, a Flaming River tilt steering column and a Dakota Digital HDX-66C-CVL dash. The entire car was rewired in June 2022 and features GPS tracking. It has been driven less than 2,000 miles over the past 17 years.
