This 1953 Chevrolet Handyman custom wagon is known as 'Fauxmad.' It is a hand-built, show-winning Resto-Mod magazine street rod that has won multiple national awards. This 2-door wagon was fabricated from two Handyman wagon bodies and a sedan. It was built under previous ownership and is finished in metallic red with a Copper roof over Saddle Tan leather upholstery. This vehicle is powered by a 327ci engine with an Edelbrock intake manifold, Brawler carburetor, an aluminum radiator and a dual
exhaust with electric valves. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. This vehicle sits on RideTech coilover suspension with traction bars in the rear. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes. Its leather interior features a Vintage Air system, a custom center console, Classic Instruments gauges, fitted power steering, tinted windows and a JL Audio sound system with an XM satellite radio. The car has received numerous awards and recognition, including receiving the Goodguys Award of Excellence in 2017, after which it appeared on the March 2022 cover of Street Scene magazine. This custom wagon is offered with a Build Sheet, car show awards, magazines and a clean title. It rides on staggered-diameter Foose wheels wrapped in 215/45-18 front and 275/40-20 rear Falken Ziex ZE950 tires. It has been driven approximately 6,000 miles since its build.
