This brand new 1965 Backdraft Cobra Re-creation roadster with 19 delivery miles, is finished in Prism Red with Bronzemist stripes. Power comes from a Craft Performance SP series 408/510hp engine that has been balanced, Blueprinted and dyno tuned. The engine is equipped with Brodix 195 ported aluminum cylinder heads, Edelbrock RPM series intake manifold, high-performance aluminum core radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan, Edelbrock high-performance water pump, extra capacity
8-quart low oil sump oil pan, MSD 6AL ignition, distributor, coil and wires, Quick Fuel 780ss 4150 4-barrel carburetor, Power Master polished 100amp alternator, ceramic coated headers and polished stainless steel side pipes with heat shields. All this is backed by a TREMEC TKX 5-speed transmission with Quick Time steel safety bell housing, Ram Performance billet steel flywheel, Hydraulic clutch actuation with a heavy-duty clutch assembly and a driveshaft safety loop. It features a BDR Spec built 2x4-inch rectangular steel chassis with 3mm wall thickness, reinforced with steel plates and cross members for added strength and rigidity as well as it has been completely powder-coated for durability and weather resistance. Additionally, it has a hand-laid fiberglass body and cockpit bonded to the chassis covered in two-stage paint with period-correct LeMans stripes, a riveted hood and hood scoop, stainless steel structural roll bar and polished stainless quick jacks. The suspension features a MacPherson-style front coil-over strut while the rear has a multilink independent suspension for a fully adjustable ride height. It also has a 3.55 Ford Super 8.8 differential with limited slip, front and rear sway bars, power four-wheel disc brakes with vented rotors and an integrated e-brake system. The Dove leather interior features Dove carpeting, four-point racing seat belts, black-faced BDR exclusive instrument gauges, hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, push-button start and chrome Raydot style side mirrors. Lastly, it rides on 18-inch true knock-off aluminum wheels wrapped with Nitto NT555 G2 high-performance tires.
