This 1949 Dodge Power Wagon known as 'Engine Forty-Nine' underwent a frame-off restoration and is powered by a 6-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. It features its original Coast Manufacturers fire body and is No. 609. Originally outfitted in Concord, CA, it fought for the Benicia, CA, fire department for more than 20 years until the department was disbanded. During its service with the fire department, the truck was re-painted yellow as the color scheme changed. After it was retired, it entered private service in Benicia on one of the ranches.
