Description
This 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 SC is one of 50, 50th Anniversary Editions produced, one of 29 with an aluminum body and one of three that were actually painted. It was factory-ordered with a detachable steering wheel and billboard Goodyear tires. The 427ci engine was a special project between Shelby Motor Company and Roush Yates, dyno-tested at 599.7hp at the crank, and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and transmission were serialized by Shelby at the time of production. It has 60 test miles and is accompanied by a complete book documenting the build at Shelby, the engine build and final assembly.
