Details
Manufactured on October 7th, 1964 this Mustang was one of the first fastbacks ever produced. It also came equipped with factory front disc brakes, a rare option for a 2+2 fastback. Under the hood resides a 289cid 'A' code 4-barrel engine coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was restored to compete in MCA competition. It had a frame-off rotisserie restoration in 1999 with every nut and bolt in place as it came off the assembly line. The engine has never been disassembled and it runs
as new. Most of the hard trim, wheels and body parts are original. The detail is second to none. All correct. Labels, stickers, even the correct oil filter and factory headlamps with the 'Ford' logo embossed in the glass. The car has won Gold in one MCA Grand National event, Gold in four MCA National events, Gold in three MCA Regional events, One MCA 'Presidents Choice,' Five 'Best Mustang' 65-66 class at Moroso, One 'Best Detail' at Moroso, Five 'Best of Show' awards and Seven misc. awards.
