Details

This car is from the first year of the big block Shelby GT500 and the last year that Shelby built the cars in his California production facility. This car was given the Shelby serial number of #2691. This spectacular two owner car has only 66,000 original miles. It is registered in the Shelby American Automobile Club Registry. This is one of only 685 cars produced of its kind. Finished in classic Lime Gold (#2041-A) paint with black knitted decor interior. This beauty was built May 19, 1967 in

San Jose, CA and delivered on June 22nd to Al Grill Ford in Lynn, MA. It has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration by a renowned Shelby restorer. Its original engine was replaced with an original 428 Cobra Jet with dual-quad carburetors producing 430 horsepower. It has been perfectly rebuilt and tuned. The undercarriage looks like that day she rolled off the assembly line. Options include special wood-rimmed steering wheel, 10-spoke aluminum wheels, original seat belts, shoulder harness, roll bar, extra cooling package, out board courtesy light group, fold down rear seats, power steering, power front disc brakes, interior decor group, 140mph speedometer with 8,000rpm tachometer, alternator and oil pressure gauge cluster, heavy duty suspension, lightweight fiberglass hood, trunk and side air and brake scoops. Included with this car is a ton of documentation including Deluxe Marti Report, Shelby Invoice, owner's manual, Shelby American Automobile Club Registry report, production order, vehicle manufacturing Build Sheets, Shelby dealer brochure, suggested retail price list, pre-delivery service sheet, salesman's feature card, extended powertrain warranty sheet receipts, photographs, an original 'Car & Driver' magazine road test article from February 1967, and even a Shelby GT500 Racing Team sweatshirt. This Shelby is a stunning museum quality piece of automotive history.
