Details

This Phaeton auto is a precursor to the convertible, where the fabric top and sides are separate, and may be removed or left in place. It is an early model (6380), in which the production run serial numbers were 1001 to 32813 and is a 4-door version. This is one of the first autos to have hydraulic brakes on all wheels. The wheels have wooden spokes of the original design and are in excellent condition. The car is in good running condition and includes a professional painting of the exterior, a

straight six engine, which was professionally overhauled, a new radiator with original Chrysler cap, original design professionally recreated, interior upholstery having leather-covered seats, these are coordinated with door storage pockets in which the top/side components were to be stored. The tires and chrome are in very good condition, including the spare which is mounted on the back. The only known non-working components are gas gauge (vacuum type) and claxon horn (which may be energized by a button on the steering column). Neither the auto's top nor side panels are provided, however, sample wooden support brackets and body mounting 'fulcrum' are included. Put on your driving clothes and take it on a trip. It will be a hit in any parade you might enter.
