Description
This is one of the rarest Superbirds in the World. In 1970, the original owner bought this car off the showroom floor of Canadaigua Motors of New York, and kept it until March of 2005. He drove the car to work daily until 1975 when he parked it in his basement. The car was wrapped up well and preserved, being cranked occasionally. The car has accumulated only 9,043 original, documented miles. This car is 100% all matching numbers and pretty much all original, just as it rolled off the assembly line. This car has never had a bolt turned on it. The only work done was the original spark plugs have been replaced, the fuel pump and fuel lines were removed, cleaned and reinstalled, and the top radiator hose, heater hose, spark plug wires and thermostat have been replaced with correct Mopar date coded parts. The original replaced parts were kept. Everything on the car works like brand new. The interior is like brand new with seat belts that look unused. Everything is soft. No interior dry rot is present whatsoever. All the glass is original and looks to be brand new. The trunk area is like new with the original spare tire and both jacks. The jacks and tire appear to have never been out of the car. The original trunk mat is present, has the Mopar stamp and is still soft, not stiff or dry rotted. I have the original battery and even the original paper inspection tag on the water pump. The exhaust and tires are original, everything, except the few items noted is original. The car also has a lot of documentation, including three Build Sheets, Fender Tag and a notarized letter from the original owner stating the mileage is correct. I also have notarized letters from the original owner and selling dealership that the paint is true and original. The original owner's manual, keys, dealership key fob and registrations from the original owner. No rust is present on the car, body, frame or suspension. All sheet metal is untouched and original. Numbers matching and only 9,043 original miles.
Numbers matching with only 9,043 actual miles. An original 1970 Superbird survivor with 95% original paint, original interior, three Build Sheets, Fender Tag, letters from original selling dealer and original owner.
