Details
This truck was purchased new in late 1962 in Bakersfield, CA, by a farmer and remained in the family until the late 1990s. It has exchanged a few hands since, but spent its life on the West Coast. It's been completely restored with many upgrades throughout. The exterior body is very nice and the paint is show-quality. The beautiful teal color is complemented with scallops that are multiple colors, including tan, brown and black. The front and rear bumper were also painted. All of the glass was
replaced and is tinted. Some other exterior features include a custom front grille, rear LED lights and tow hitch with electrical connection. The truck sits on 15' Torq Thrust-style wheels with gray centers, polished lip and spinners. The rear bed was painted and new wood was added. Additionally, the gas cap and filler were relocated in the rear bed. The tailgate features custom pull knobs. The entire interior was very nicely restored and painted to match the exterior. It's dressed with gray leather throughout, including the sun visors, door panels, kicker panels and bucket seats. Some other interior features include a chrome dash bezel, Auto Meter gauges, Ididit brushed tilt steering column with 15.5' Budnik brushed steering wheel, billet hardware, custom door sills, Lokar shifter, custom console with cup holders and storage. It's equipped with a custom sound system consisting of an Alpine stereo, Kicker amplifier and Alpha speakers in boxes behind the seats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the built 350ci V8 engine. This engine has a polished Edelbrock intake, Demon carburetor, polished Chevrolet valve covers, billet air cleaner, custom pulley system, Mallory ignition system, Milodon oil pump and pan, and Optima battery with aluminum case. The engine is cooled by a custom aluminum radiator with electric fan and billet overfill canister. Breathing through Headman ceramic headers and a Flowmaster side-exhaust system, it sounds excellent. The engine is coupled to a GM 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a 10-bolt posi-traction rear end. It's also equipped with a Tuff Stuff power steering pump. The undercarriage is very clean and has a stainless fuel tank. It's equipped with a CPP master cylinder and GM 4-wheel disc brakes. The front suspension has been slightly lowered with spindles and the rear suspension has air bags that are controlled manually with air line for simplicity. This truck has recently been completely serviced and detailed, which is documented with an invoice. From the MS Classic Cars Collection. **SOLD AS A SET WITH LOT 413.1 AND 413.2**
