Details

This two-owner 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 427/400hp big-block engine paired with a Tri-Power 4-speed manual transmission. This '67 is the recipient of a complete $75,000 frame-off restoration by the Nabers Brothers of Houston, TX, in 2006-07. Everything was kept original except the exterior paint, which was also completed by Nabers in 2006. Finished in Silver Pearl over a blue/teal interior combination, the car features the original soft-top, interior and drivetrain. It is optioned with tinted windows, auxiliary matching hardtop, AM/FM radio, shoulder harnesses, transistor ignition, power steering, posi-traction 3.70 differential and red-stripe tires. The sale comes with the complete documented purchase history from the original owner (Wyoming/Texas), Tank Sticker, owner's manual, Chevrolet brochures, original dealer purchase receipts and pictures from the current owner's purchase inspection trip to Cheyenne. The sale will also come with Nabers restoration pictures and the original framed Wyoming license plate taken from the car at the time of purchase, indicating the vehicle was last registered in Wyoming in 1980. Purchased from Murphy-Mahoney Chevrolet in Denver on October 31, 1966, this Corvette was originally purchased by a German woman who attended the University of Wyoming and used it throughout her college years. After college, she stored the Corvette in a brick garage in Cheyenne, WY, for 25 years. The original owner had the car prepared for storage by the local Chevrolet dealer, and then had the dealer wash, wax and service the car once a year for 25 years, then had the car rolled back into the garage and covered for storage. The original wheels were found in four velvet bags in the corner of the garage and Nabers reinstalled them and replaced them with the aftermarket mag wheels the original owner had on the car (she used the mag wheels throughout college, as she feared scratching the originals). 35,378 miles (title reads exempt).
