SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. ‒ December 1, 2021Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, today announced that legendary music icon, entrepreneur and renowned philanthropist Bret Michaels will be a part of the company’s 50th Anniversary celebration during the 2022 Scottsdale Auction with the sale of his personal 2007 Bentley Continental GT. Michaels’ Bentley will cross the world-famous auction block on Friday, January 28, as Michaels will donate a portion of its proceeds to his Life Rocks Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3).

251911_Front_3-4“Bret has long been a part of the Barrett-Jackson family,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Bret first sold a car at Barrett-Jackson during our 40th anniversary in Scottsdale, creating a level of energy in the arena that only a legend like Bret could and then returned to our 45th anniversary with an incredible concert and once again with vehicles that included a charitable element. As we look forward to celebrating 50 years this January, we’re honored that he has chosen to be a part of it through selling his 2007 Bentley GT, a vehicle in which we both share a love for.”

Finished in Moonbeam Silver, this 2007 Continental GT has a true rockstar history, having been featured in numerous hit reality shows, music videos and magazines. Well-known as a car and motorcycle enthusiast, Michaels has driven this vehicle throughout Scottsdale, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as on many road trips. Always well-maintained and truly loved by Michaels, this Bentley is powered by a twin turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 552hp and rides on custom 19-inch aluminum wheels.

“I can’t wait to bring this car to Barrett-Jackson in January,” said Michaels. “I’ve had the pleasure of partaking in a handful of Barrett-Jackson events over the last decade since I sold my 1969 Camaro over 10 years ago and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to also be a part of their 50th anniversary celebration. This Bentley has been one of my favorite vehicles and I look forward to seeing it cross the auction block for a great cause. Like Craig says, it is like driving your most comfortable chair surrounded by 552 horsepower; and as I have always said, a good drive is great for the soul.”

From raising awareness for Type 1 Diabetes, which he has lived with his entire life, to supporting military families as the son of a veteran, Michaels puts as much passion in his charitable outreach as he does his music, garnering him the title of “Humanitarian of the Year” two years in a row. In line with his charitable endeavors, a portion of the proceeds for this vehicle will go to the Bret Michaels Life Rocks Foundation. This foundation is a donor-advised fund that benefits a myriad of charitable causes from childhood cancer, diabetes, veterans’ organizations and many more.

In addition to this rockstar vehicle, the winning bidder will also receive a one-of-a-kind, personally signed “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” guitar.
