Barrett-Jackson Ends 2019 Auction Season with Diverse, 100-Percent No Reserve Docket, Hosts Automotive Legend Roger Penske

A highlight moment of the auction was the appearance of the legendary Roger Penske for the sale of a 2018 Ford Fusion NASCAR Racecar (Lot #3001) sold to benefit the United Way for Southern Michigan.
LAS VEGAS – Oct. 7, 2019 – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, finished its 2019 auction season with its first 100-percent No Reserve collector car and automobilia auction in nearly a decade. With an amazing and diverse docket, Barrett-Jackson sold 677 vehicles for more than $33.3 million, while over 352 pieces of automobilia brought in over $855,800; both records for our Las Vegas event. In addition, $560,000 was raised through the sale of charity vehicles, bringing the total auction sales to over $34.8 million.
This year’s 12th Annual Las Vegas Auction at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort was also a gathering place for automotive legends, as well as celebrities from the entertainment and sports industries. Among those in attendance were Roger Penske, racing legend and owner of Team Penske; Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer, band members of Aerosmith; Siegfried and Roy, Las Vegas magicians and entertainers; Cody Walker, brother of the late actor Paul Walker; TV personality Adam Ferrara and Joey Hand, Ford GT Le Mans winner.
The top selling vehicle, a 2017 Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition (Lot #747) sold for a record $1,540,000 on Saturday.

- 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition (Lot #748) – $324,500
- 1953 Chevrolet Corvette 235/150 Convertible (Lot #735) – $275,000
- 1953 Chevrolet Corvette 235/150 Convertible (Lot #725) – $220,000
- 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Coupe (Lot #715) – $203,500
- 1957 Dodge Power Wagon Custom Pickup (Lot #741) – $203,500
- 1963 Chevrolet Corvette 327/360 Split Window Fuelie (Lot #734) – 187,000
- 2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost (Lot #745) – $176,000
- 2017 Dodge Viper ACR (Lot#757) – $176,000
This highly optioned 2019 Ferrari 488 Spyder (Lot #749) was the second highest sale at $368,500.

We’re extremely proud of the unprecedented amount of money and awareness we have raised for charity. We have generated over $560,000 in Las Vegas for a number of worthy causes, increasing our funds raised to date to more than $118 million.
The three charity vehicles sold in Las Vegas included:
- 2009 Ford Mustang Custom Coupe “AV8R” (Lot 3000) – $40,000 for Reach Out Worldwide
- 2018 Ford Fusion NASCAR Cup Series Race Car (Lot #3001) – $250,000 for United Way for Southeastern Michigan
- 2005 Ford GT (Lot #3002) – $270,000 for JDRF
The 2019 Las Vegas Auction saw the most successful non-Scottsdale Automobilia Auction in history with a total sale of over $855,800.
Barrett-Jackson’s 100-percent No Reserve Automobilia Auction included one of the finest collections of tin and porcelain signs. The top five automobilia pieces sold during the 2019 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction included:

- 1930s Ford V8 Neon Porcelain Sign (Lot #7298) – $34,500
- 1950s Phillips 66 Porcelain with Neon Sign (Lot #8293) – $25,300

- Circa 1940s-early ’50s Shell Oil neon porcelain sign (Lot #8298) – $23,000
