SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Dec. 19, 2024Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is offering 19 late-model Corvettes from the David M. Ressler Collection during the Scottsdale Auction, January 18-26, 2025, at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Each vehicle from the collection, which includes a number of Indy pace cars and anniversary editions, will cross the Scottsdale Auction block with No Reserve, including a rare 2010 ZR1 (preview) that is one of 1,577 produced for the model year. In honor of Ressler’s incredible philanthropic spirit, a 1988 Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition (preview) will be sold with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting the Driven Hearts initiative for the American Heart Association (AHA) to help raise funds and bring awareness to hear disease and stroke.

“Dave was a the ultimate Corvette aficionado and amassed one of the most impressive Corvette collections of the modern era,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “We were honored to offer 12 Corvettes from his collection during our 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction and look forward to keeping his legacy alive in January with 19 additional Corvettes that reflect his high standards of collectability. Not only will bidders have the chance to take home official Indy pace cars, but early production and anniversary edition models from his collection as well.”

Five Indy pace cars are among the Corvettes being offered from the David M. Ressler Collection including a 2004 Official Indy 500 Pace Car (preview) driven by actor Morgan Freeman during the 88th Indianapolis 500. The collection’s 1998 Indy Pace Car convertible (preview) is one of 1,163 produced for model year and has 19 actual miles. One of 7,315 convertibles produced for the model year and one of 732 painted yellow, a 1986 Indy Pace Car convertible (preview) is powered by a 235 horsepower engine. Painted in maroon and white and driven in the 79th Indy 500, a 1995 Indy Pace Car convertible (preview) is one of 527 produced for the model year and is powered by a 300 horsepower engine with 4-speed automatic transmission.

Early-build Corvettes with low mileage from the collection include a 1998 Corvette convertible VIN 001 (preview) that is powered by a 345 horsepower engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and has 203 actual miles. With 67 actual miles, a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette VIN 001 (preview) is powered by a 345 horsepower engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The collection also has two 2003 Corvette 50th Anniversary Edition vehicles. The first Corvette is a VIN 003 (preview) finished in red with a gray interior, 800 actual miles and features Magnetic Selective Ride Control and head-up display. The second was special-ordered with a VIN ending in 1953 (preview) to honor the Corvette’s inaugural year and is one of 7,547 50th Anniversary red convertibles produced. This vehicle also has a commemorative Indy Pace Car graphics package.
