arena overview

As Barrett-Jackson celebrates 50 years of The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, here is some important information you’ll need to navigate the event at WestWorld. We look forward to seeing you at this milestone event. See below for important details to know before attending the 2022 Scottsdale Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale:

  • Tickets. General admission tickets are available for purchase online and at the box office. General admission tickets provide access to the entire event site with exception of access to the auction block itself, seats reserved for bidders and private skyboxes.
  • Face coverings. Barrett-Jackson continues to work with state and local government authorities to ensure adherence to any COVID-19 restrictions or protocols that may be in place at the time of the event. At this time masks are not required to attend our event. As with all large events, we do kindly request that all unvaccinated guests wear face coverings at the auction.

* Please note: If you feel sick or have recently been in close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend the event.

  • Clear Bag Policy remains in effect. Guests will only be permitted to enter the auction site with clutch purses that do not exceed 6.5×4.5” or clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12x6x12” (or one-gallon clear plastic bags). Clear bags will be for sale near the auction entrance. Security officers will be checking all bags at the auction entrance, and guests will be screened for weapons and contraband.
  • Weapons of any type, video cameras, skateboards, drones, coolers and animals (with the exception of service animals to assist guests with disabilities) are among prohibited items. Only one sealed bottle of water (under 17 oz.) will be allowed. Other outside beverages and food are prohibited.
  • Enhanced Cleaning/Sanitization On-site. Cleaning procedures will be enhanced throughout the auction site, including extra attention to frequently touched surfaces.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the auction site.
  • Advanced filtration and air treatment technologies at WestWorld include bipolar ionization that “collects” airstream contaminants, ultraviolet lighting (which has been shown to eliminate 99 percent of pathogens in an airstream) and additional air exhaust systems that use 100 percent air from the outside.
  • The entire event runs for nine days, from Saturday, January 22, through Sunday, January 30.
  • Hundreds of vehicles and automobilia items will be on display for all to see right from the beginning, with many still on-site even after they cross the auction block.
  • The first two days of the event serve as Family Day and Preview Day with no live auction, but there’s still plenty to do and see! Guests can get up-close looks at all the auction vehicles on display before they make the trip across the block, check out the 50 incredible custom cars and trucks that are entrants in the exclusive Barrett-Jackson Cup Competition, shop in the vast Exhibitor Marketplace, explore the broad array of sponsor displays, experience a Thrill Ride on the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track and more. The first Saturday, January 20, is QT Family Day, where children ages 12 and under can attend free of charge.
  • Rain in the forecast? Don’t worry! More than a million square feet of the auction site is under cover.
  • There’s more here than just great cars: A vast Exhibitor Marketplace, fascinating sponsor displays, a live music stage, dozens of food vendor locations offering a wide variety of dining options, interactive exhibits from a large variety of sponsors and fantastic people-watching (keep your eyes open for celebrities).
  • Don’t miss the Thrill Rides and Hot Laps at the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track, which will be going on every day of the event and are open to ages 8 (or 48 inches tall) and above. Hop in one of the latest vehicles with a professional driver for a heart-pounding ride to remember! RAM will also be offering a 4×4 off-road experience.
  • There is plenty of public parking (just follow the road signs directing you to specific parking areas), with shuttle service to and from the main gate. There is a specially designated drop-off point near the main entrance for those using rideshare companies like Lyft.
  • TV crews from FYI and HISTORY will be on-site throughout the week, providing live coverage of the event. Alert your friends at home – they may spot you on live television!
