2020 Toyota Supra

Among the cars for a cause crossing the block at the 2019 Scottsdale Auction will be the first production 2020 Toyota Supra, VIN 20201 (Lot #3010).

charitySealEvery Barrett-Jackson Auction is full of exciting, adrenaline-pumping moments – but perhaps none are more thrilling than when a “car for a cause” crosses the auction block.

More than a dozen of these special vehicles are getting ready for their often emotion-filled time onstage at the 2019 Scottsdale Auction, when the profound generosity of both those who donate these cars and those who compassionately bid from the heart to take them home comes to the forefront.

2019 Ford GT Heritage

VIN 001 of the 2019 Ford GT Heritiage Edition (Lot #3012) will cross the block to benefit United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

Ford Motor Company, a longtime Barrett-Jackson partner, is bringing a 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition VIN 001 (Lot #3012) to benefit United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The supercar is dressed in the famous baby-blue-and-orange Gulf Oil livery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans-winning GT40 that became one of the most recognizable racecars of all time.

A second car to be auctioned by Ford will be the VIN 001 of the new 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 (Lot #3008) – the most powerful street-legal production Ford ever – with the entire sale price benefiting JDRF. Ford Motor Company leadership, along with Aaron Shelby, grandson of racing legend Carroll Shelby, will accompany the car on the block for the sale, fresh from its unveiling at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.

Barrett-Jackson is excited to welcome Toyota as a new partner in 2019, and the automaker is making a big entrance by bringing the all-new 2020 Supra (Lot #3010) – also fresh from its unveiling at the NAIAS ‒ to benefit the American Heart Association and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which provides help for post-9/11 impacted veterans and their families. Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer will accompany the one-of-a-kind car – which will carry VIN 20201 and many special features – onto the auction block.

Chevrolet will offer four “one-of-a-kind” Bumblebee Camaros as seen in the “Transformers” movies ‒ the original Camaro Bumblebee (Lot #3009) as seen in the first “Transformers” in 2007 and then modified for the follow-up movie, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen;” the 2010 Camaro (Lot #3009.1) as seen in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon;” the 2013 Camaro (Lot #3009.2) as seen in “Transformers: Age of Extinction;” and the 2016 Camaro (Lot #3009.3) as seen in “Transformers: The Last Knight.” The entire hammer price from the sale of these four Camaros – which will sell together as a group – will benefit Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families.

Childhelp (through the auspices of SEMA Cares) will receive 100% of the sale price of a custom 1967 Chevrolet Camaro (Lot #3004) powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LS3 E-ROD engine. WD-40, along with SEMA Cares and leading specialty equipment manufacturers, debuted this incredible build in November 2016 to celebrate both the 50th anniversary of the SEMA Show and the 50th anniversary of the Camaro. The Barrow Neurological Foundation will be helped by the auction of a 2015 Ford Petty’s Garage Stage 2 Mustang GT (Lot #3001), #41 of just 43 built, while the entire sale price of a 2018 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet (Lot #3011), one of just 68 built for NHRA racing, will go to the Fighter Country Foundation at Luke Air Force Base.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon will be bringing his personal 2016 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R (Lot #3007) – one of only 570 C7.R-equipped coupes, with just 747 miles on the odometer – to benefit the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, while NASCAR driver David Ragan will be on hand to auction his NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Ford Fusion Race Car #38 (Lot #3003) to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. Another NASCAR great, Rusty Wallace, is bringing his #27 Kodiak NASCAR race car known as “Millie” (Lot #3002) to help out the Task Force Dagger Foundation, while one of just 37 2015 Shelby GT350Rs built (Lot #3006) will be sold to benefit the Petersen Automotive and Henry Ford museums.

There’s even a boat – Bennington is bringing a newly built 2019 SW Series model (Lot #3000) to benefit the Arians Family Foundation, which supports and develops programs that strive to prevent and ameliorate the abuse and neglect of children.
