The contenders for the Barrett-Jackson Cup paraded across the stage Monday afternoon, when the Top 5 finalists were announced.

The long-awaited chant of the auctioneers rang out once again at WestWorld of Scottsdale as the first day of the 2021 Barrett-Jackson Automobilia Auction got under way on Monday. More than 350 colorful pieces of our automotive past had their turn to shine on the auction block, with highlights that included a working vintage railroad crossing sign that brought in $36,225, two beautifully restored gas pumps – a limited-edition custom Bowser clock-face example and a late 1940s Polly Gas Wayne Model that each sold for $23,000 – and a number of porcelain signs, including a Shamrock Oil example from the 1960s that went to its new home for $15,755.
The Automobilia Auction will continue daily each morning in the auction arena, with collector cars – including some choice motorcycles from the Larry Winkler Collection – making their stage debut Tuesday afternoon. Every minute of the automobilia and collector car auctions can be viewed via the live stream, which can accessed on the home page of Barrett-Jackson.com and viewed on any mobile device, computer or Smart TV.

The big highlight on Monday included a “parade” across the auction block of nearly 50 incredible custom builds vying for the coveted Barrett-Jackson Cup, followed by the exciting announcement of the Top 5 finalists. Vehicles landing in the top spots include a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, a 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon, a 1970 Dodge Challenger, a 1932 Ford Tudor and a 1972 Ford F-100 Pickup. Beginning Tuesday morning, fans around the world can vote daily on BarrettJacksonCup.com for their choice of “Ultimate Best in Show” from the narrowed-down field, with the winners ceremony being shown on the Barrett-Jackson live stream at approximately 11:45 a.m. PDT on Saturday, March 27.
