Offered at the January 21-29, 2023, Scottsdale Auction with No Reserve:

This multiple-award-winning 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 was professionally built into a modern-day Resto-Mod with attention to detail throughout. The original Ford was taken down to bare metal before TM Customs started all the modifications. The car sits low with a modern Gen 2 5.0-liter Coyote engine mated to a 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission. The frame is modified with a Fat Man IFS up front with RideTech ShockWave air ride and a custom 4-link suspension with slam bags out back. A sleeker engine cover was fabricated to gain another half inch of clearance. The transmission tunnel was modified to accept the girth of the new transmission and provide clearance for the driveshaft for the lowered body. A 9-inch Currie rear end is supported by the 4-link suspension, which is raised up into the chassis, forcing a raised trunk floor and a custom fuel tank. The ideal ride height is finalized with 18×8 and 20×9 Budnik wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Stopping is handled with big Wilwood brakes, and the car is also equipped with power steering.

Crazy Kenny’s in Phoenix, AZ, worked to accentuate the factory Ford body lines for a sharper appearance. All the gaps were tightened considerably. Kindig-It door handles were flush-mounted, the emblems were shaved and the bumpers were modified to tuck in tight to the body. Equal attention was paid under the hood, where an amazing aluminum radiator and surround, inner fenders and a custom firewall were all hand-fabricated. Once the build was deemed suitable, the PPG Soul Red color was applied.

The Auburn leather interior by Armando’s Custom Upholstery is highlighted with one-off chrome. Inside the modified 1960 Impala dash are Dakota Digital gauges and Ron Francis wiring. An Ididit tilt steering column is topped with a Budnik steering wheel and surrounded by Nu-Relic power windows, a high-output audio system and a Vintage Air system. It took about six years for this Galaxie to come to life as a modern custom muscle machine. The Galaxie has won five Goodguys Top 10 Builder’s Choice awards, along with the NSRA Top 5 and NSRA Editor’s Pick awards. This car was featured in the Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette in May 2022, StreetScene Magazine in December 2021 and on “Bitchin’ Rides” Season 8 Episode 3. All build documentation is included.
