Details

This custom 1976 Ford Bronco has been owned by the current owner for over 18 years, who began restoration over 15 years ago starting with the bare frame and a completely stripped body. The left rear quarter-panel was replaced, and fiberglass front fenders and a fiberglass hood were added. Everything is new, reconditioned, rebuilt or custom. All chassis fasteners are Grade 8, and all body and topside fasteners are stainless button-head for toughness and good looks. All frame bolt holes are fitted and welded with crush sleeves. The frame is coated with Rust Bullet and Rust Bullet topcoat. SEM black was used to coat the underbody, and new body bushings and a 2-inch body lift were installed. A back-braced Ford 9-inch rear differential is equipped with 31-spline Yukon axles, Detroit locker, 4.11 ratio gears, a custom DOM traction bar bolted to 11-pack Deaver 5.5-inch lift springs and Cage Offroad shocks, along with a Wild Horses heavy-duty rear driveline. The front end is a stock Dana 44 with matching 4.11 ratio gears, stock Ford axles, WARN hubs, Chevrolet disc brake conversion, Cage Offroad heavy-duty extended tubular radius arms, dual Cage Offroad shocks and hoop, 5.5-inch progressive rate Wild Horses coil springs and a front driveline built by High Angle Drivelines. The engine is a 1984 Ford 351 Windsor that has been clearanced and bored .040 over to accommodate the stroker kit, making it 410ci. The engine consists of Probe pistons, a COMP Cams valvetrain, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, Holley Sniper EFI and MSD ignition components. A custom torque converter built by D&P Products in Sacramento, CA, unleashes the power to a custom Ford C4 automatic transmission built by Trans Craft in Reno, NV. The transmission is fitted with power planetary, input shaft billet steel 300 maraging TCS, billet steel forward 5-clutch drum TCS, overhaul kit steel plates, a shift kit and a B&M deep sump pan. The transmission is cooled by a dual-fan stand-alone cooler. The Dana 20 transfer case was built by Trans Craft with a Wild Horses heavy-duty master kit and twin-stick shifters. The steering is a new quick-turn-ratio steering box, custom steering shaft, heavy-duty Delphi pump, Ididit tilt steering column and custom wheel. A new Painless Wiring harness was installed with wires cable tied, insulated and loomed. The interior of the tub is prepped with POR 15, primer and coated with Hippo tinted liner material. The exterior has been striped, prepped and primed with U-POL 2K primer and sprayed with RAPTOR Liner tinted Magnetic Gray. It has custom bumpers with a brush bar and off-road lights up front, as well as a spare tire rack, gas can handyman jack and cooler rack with cooler in the rear. The interior houses a well-organized instrument gauge set and purple-painted dash for a custom look, along with an 8-point roll bar, Bestop front bucket seats, purple seat-belt harnesses, factory rear seat, a custom center console with B&M shifter, and a stereo with four speakers and a powered subwoofer. This beast rides on Razr MT 35-12.5-15 tires mounted to 17x9 Fuel Krank black and machined wheels.
