This 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition has 17 actual miles and is out of Dave Ressler's private collection. The Window Sticker is still in its original position, and the Z06 has always been stored and maintained in a climate-controlled building. It is powered by a 405hp 346ci LS6 engine utilizing a differential-mounted 6-speed manual transmission. that already had potent power-to-weight ratio. Previously reserved for racing and exotic sports cars, carbon fiber combines extremely high strength and low weight. The Commemorative Edition Z06 hood achieves a higher level of exterior finish quality than previous automotive applications of carbon fiber. The only visual cue that the hood is made from carbon fiber is in the red border surrounding the silver graphic on the car, which is arranged in a woven pattern, signifying the material that lies underneath. The active handling GM engineers also refined the 2004 Z06’s shock-damping characteristics to provide improved handling in the most challenging conditions, while maintaining good ride control for the demands of daily driving. The continual analysis, development and refinement of the shock valves resulted in more damping control and force, delivered more smoothly. These refinements are a result of extensive testing and development, to enhance the poise, confidence and smoothness of response. This like-new 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition was part of a limited production run and the final year of C5 production.
