Details
Spectacular Plymouth Suburban custom wagon. Multiple manufactures carried the Suburban name throughout the years. It wasn’t until 1988 when General Motors was awarded an exclusive trademark on the Suburban name. This rarely seen Plymouth Suburban Wagon underwent an extensive frame-off restoration which is documented with a photo album. The body was taken down to a bare shell on a rotisserie and done properly. During this process the center pillar was removed making the rear glass one piece
rather than a two piece which greatly improves the look. The gas filler was also relocated in the rear quarter and retrofitted with a modern gas cap. The exterior body is very straight with great gaps throughout. It was painted BMW Deep Green Metallic which looks amazing. This paint is show-quality and all of the chrome dresses it well. All of the tinted glass is new which gives it a mean look. It’s equipped with modern headlights. It has a killer stance on the Boyd Coddington polished wheels with BFGoodrich G-Force tires. The two-tone Ultraleather custom interior was professionally done and looks beautiful. The custom upholstery includes the headliner, door panels, rear panels, bucket seats, rear seats and carpeting. Some interior upgrades include a painted dash, Dolphin gauges, polished tilt steering column, Billet Specialties steering wheel, air conditioning and custom sound system. The spacious trunk compartment matches perfectly. The engine compartment is painted and highly detailed throughout. The heart of this street rod is a GM 383ci V8 stroker tune port fuel-injected engine that runs excellent. The engine is dressed with tons of polished and billet accessories including the power steering pump. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with dual fans. The engine breathes through ceramic headers and a custom MagnaFlow side exhaust system with custom tips. The engine is coupled to a 700R4 automatic transmission and Ford Currie 9” posi-traction rear end that has been powder-coated silver. The undercarriage is very detailed and mirror-quality. The frame has been completely modified and powder-coated silver. It’s equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, as well as a Heidts Mustang II front end with tubular A-arms and coilovers. It’s equipped with a rear 4-link suspension system with coilovers. A custom-made gas tank was added to the rear. This Resto-Mod is a true classic SUV. It has been serviced and detailed, which is documented with an invoice that is included.
