Featuring Mooneyes 'Smart Shift' electronic shift, as seen in Boyd Coddington's 'Alumatub,' this Coca-Cola and Texaco-themed 1942 Chevrolet pickup was an eight-year custom build that was completed in 2014 and displayed at SEMA and Goodguys events across the country. It has an all-steel body and radiator grille on a custom frame. The heart is a Chevrolet 350ci V8 engine mated to a GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission with RV shift kit and electronic shifting assistance. It’s equipped with an

Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, fuel pump and filter, HEI ignition, GM distributor, GM starter with aluminum casing, GM single-wire alternator, aluminum water pump, aluminum hot rod radiator, aluminum pulleys and chrome valve covers. Ceramic-coated headers connect to 3' exhaust pipe with side-pipe exhaust blocked off and going into rear-exiting mufflers. The rear end is from a 1957 Chevy with 308 gears, single-leaf front drop axle, aluminum rear-ride-adjust with spring-adjusting coilover shocks and chrome front Pro Shocks. It’s also equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes and power steering. The steel cab sports a custom interior and has been insulated. It has all tinted glass, new trim and window felts, custom hot rod windshield, power windows, custom tilt steering column, VDO gauges and tachometer, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/MP3 player. The doors are shaved with safety double-locking and entry by remote key fob. The exterior features custom taillights with LED third brake light, custom side mirrors, chrome headlamp assembly with aluminum mounting brackets and turn signals. The carpet-finished Coca Cola rear cooler compartment has storage and houses the 15-gallon fuel cell and battery. This custom pickup rides on aluminum Eagle wheels with new tires, and includes interior and undercarriage lighting.
