Needing to up their performance offering heading into 1969, Ford introduced the Mach I option package for the Mustang. Available only in the 'sports roof' or fastback model, the package featured a variety of both performance and appearance options to give the car a competitive edge on those offered by rivals. Most noticeable was the flat-black hood with hood pins and scoop, but also included was a front chin spoiler, rear deck spoiler and rear window louvers, known as 'Sport Slats.' Under the

hood, the 351ci Windsor engine was standard, but buyers could upgrade to a 390ci or 428ci engine if they chose. The cars were also outfitted with upgraded suspension for better handling, and were available with a variety of beefed-up rear ends to put the power to the ground. Finished in Acapulco Blue with a black interior, this Mustang features a 351ci Windsor engine with an FMX automatic transmission and 3.00 rear end. It's equipped with power steering, brakes and working factory air conditioning. The outside features the typical Mach I appointments with the hood, Sport Slats and spoilers, as well as a set of Magnum 500 wheels to cap off the aggressive look that a Mach I is supposed to have. With plenty of power and looks to match, this Mustang is ready to cruise the streets.
